Are you an effective movie for 2013 ? – Oblivion

It was quite a week for me after my traveled. Got back home, unpack my stuff and went to catch up with GI JOE Retaliation. The next was Oblivion. After that, its gonna be Iron Man 3. So, as I went to every movies and saw the Oblivion trailer since last year, I had a feeling the movie was going to be awesome. If you ask me, I do love Sci-Fi movies a lot especially when it comes to after post apocalyptic war. Whether its with aliens or humans among humans, to make it short, here is what I think about Oblivion.

Oblivion 2013 Movie

Set in somewhere a future distant on earth, it was after a post apocalyptic war. It was year 2077. Tech 49 Jack Harper and his partner was given a so called secret mission on earth. They have been doing it for years now every since after everything was destroyed.

Jack Harper (Tom Cruise), received an order once in a while to fly down and be on land to fix all those protective drones. It was reported that earth was infested with a group of aliens known as SCAVS.

Everyday, Jack Harper had to do the same thing over and over again. But somehow, along the way, he had a vivid memory of his past life. Which became questionable to him on who was he or what was he. What was he like in the past.

Who am I? What am I? I need to find out.

Victoria (Andrea Riseborough) on the other hand, tried to convince Jack that it was against the rules and regulations of their mission to find out more. Not until, when a NASA space shuttle activated in its own and releases a few escape pods.

The drones were then given the orders to inspect and destroyed those pods leaving only one survivor, Julia (Olga Kurylenko), who was saved by Harper himself.

I do admit the entire whole movie was beautifully done. No doubt it was a really slow paced movie at the start but what made it interesting was after the NASA space shuttle dropped out of orbit.

Yes we are an effective team tower control.

It was from there the entire whole storyline started to take place. Its climax and what actually really happened to the crews before year 2047.

Also, along the way, the mysterious SCAVS was revealed…which…you need to watch it for yourselves to find out more.

The movie somehow showed its success after they managed to collect a gross of $200 million world wide.

Well I do have to admit, it was one heck of a Sci-Fi movie, beautifully crafted and well presented on the big screen, great plots and climaxes. I think Oblivion deserves as one of the top ten Sci-Fi movie award.

Others may had a different opinion. Some say it was horrible, some say it was good, some say it was so and so, some say Tom Cruise is lucky enough to have two pretty ladies beside him. I personally do not deny that Miss Olga Kurylenko has that sweet and soft smiling looks. She is pretty anyway, without make up of course.
